Saw this question raised on ESPN Sportscenter, so thought I'd ask the Forum. Mickelson now off winning the last two majors and 3 of the last 9, while Tigers has won 2.
This is how I see it. Mickelson has won The Masters twice and the PGA once. The Masters is the only one of the four majors played on the same course every year and the PGA, although challenging is the least prestigious of the majors. Playing on the same course year after year, even Augusta National, allows for familiarity and strategic planning having played the same holes, although slightly different each year. The PGA courses vary but often times the grooming allows playability. Tiger has won each major at least twice, and most importantly, the U.S. Open which is normally the most difficult of all.
Until Phil Mickelson breaks through and wins the U.S. Open or even the British Open, Tigers Woods still remains the best in the world in my opinion. Your thoughts.
